2013 marks the 11th annual tee-off for this tournament. We believe that you will find sponsorship of this event to be a worthwhile investment of your charitable funds. Not only will sponsorship give your business or organization high visibility to tournament participants, but all tournament proceeds will benefit the youth of of the communities of Garland, Rowlett, and Sachse.

Tenth Annual BEST Masters Golf Tournament
The Tenth Annual BEST Masters teed up on Friday April 13th at the Firewheel Golf Complex. Over the past ten years, this tournament has raised over $275,000 for the general scholarship fund for the district. We appreciate the support of the community and our
business partners.

2012 Tournament Highlights
Ninth Annual BEST Masters Golf Tournament
The Ninth Annual BEST Masters teed up on Friday April 29th at the Firewheel Golf Complex. With the support of the community and our
business partners the Foundation was able to raise $18,491.43 for the general scholarship fund for the District.
The weather was beautiful and the camaraderie great while more than 100 golfers showcased their skills. The winning team from Balfour carried off the Trophy Cup for the year and welcomed challengers for next year. The players were treated to lunch from Dos Banderos, and dinner from Outback Steakhouse.
2011 Tournament Highlights
Over $26,000.00 Raised
On Friday April 23rd, the BEST Education Foundation held its eighth annual Masters Golf Tournament to raise funds for scholarships and grants for the students and staff of the Garland Independent School District. The sunny skies opened up as the clouds rolled away allowing 130 players to have fun in sun while enjoying lunch with a round of golf, and an awards dinner sponsored by Outback Steakhouse.
The Baylor Medical Center at Garland/GISD team of Ron Norris, Joey Mactel, Atticus Weisner, and Jason Jetton won the tournament which raised more than $26,000.00 for the BEST scholarship fund.
Estes, McClure and Associates, Inc., Garland Chamber of Commerce, and the local community have continued their strong support over the years. Their support is greatly appreciated along with the many other district vendors who continue to help with this great cause each year. Over the last eight years the Tournament has raised more than $200,000 for the BEST Education Foundation scholarship fund.
Over $200,000 Raised
Helped in part by Monday’s stunning weather and gorgeous greens, the Seventh Annual BEST Masters Golf Tournament once again proved successful for the Garland ISD’s fundraising efforts.
Through community outreach and recognition for academic excellence, BEST awards various grants to schools and teachers, and also offers scholarships to students, teachers and paraprofessionals.
Each year, the group holds a charity tournament at Firewheel Golf Park to help generate these funds. Overall, more than $200,000 has been raised.
Beautiful weather has become the norm for BEST tournament play and this year was no different. According to Keith Reimer, BEST program specialist, comments were again extremely positive. Reimer has noticed, however, that public support of GISD remains strong no matter the elements or the economy.
“The weather could not have been better,” he said. “We had a great day supporting the students and staff of GISD. The continued support of our main sponsors has remained strong over the years.They always show up – whether economy is good, or bad.”
